European Premiere of Cinemien Film “OUT” at Film by the Sea Festival

Last night, the new Cinemien film OUT celebrated its European premiere at the prestigious Film by the Sea festival in Vlissingen. The premiere took place in the presence of the film’s cast and crew, following its successful world premiere earlier this summer at the renowned Frameline Festival in San Francisco, one of the world’s leading LGBTQ+ film festivals.

OUT follows the journey of Tom and Ajani, two young men leaving behind the restrictive life of a small Dutch village for the vibrant city of Amsterdam. In this bustling metropolis, they not only aspire to realize their dream of becoming filmmakers but also seek a community that will accept them as they are. Immersed in Amsterdam’s colorful queer scene, Tom and Ajani encounter both friendship and complex challenges, leading to an exploration of identity, ambition, and belonging.

Cinemien will distribute OUT across Europe, with the film set to debut in theaters in the Benelux on World Coming Out Day, October 11th. Following this initial release, OUT will be gradually rolled out in other European countries throughout 2024 and 2025.
