Marc Putman, Founder and CEO of OUTtv, Receives Royal Decoration

Utrecht, April 26, 2024 – During a festive ceremony at the city theater of Utrecht, Marc Putman, founder and CEO of OUTtv, had the honour of receiving a Royal Decoration. Mayor Sharon Dijksma appointed him as a Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau. This prestigious decoration is awarded in recognition of Putman’s dedication to increasing the visibility and acceptance of the LGBTQI+ community, both in the Netherlands and worldwide.

In 2008, Marc Putman founded OUTtv, the only lifestyle TV channel aimed at the LGBTQI+ community and open minded in Europe. Since its launch in 2008, OUTtv has become an international player in LGBTQI+ entertainment, with channels in more than 15 countries (inside and outside Europe). OUTtv reaches over 10 million households through well-known operators such as VodafoneZiggo, Orange, Prime Video, KPN, Odido, T-Mobile, Proximus, Deutsche Telekom, Samsung TV Plus, and others, with an average of 1.7 million viewers per month.
