Cinemien & Cineplex celebrate LGBTQI+ cinema with a monthly Pride Night

Frankfurt am Main – The film distribution company CINEMIEN and the Cineplex Group announce today, on the occasion of Coming Out Day, that they will now celebrate LGBTQI+ cinema with a monthly PRIDE NIGHT in more than 25 Cineplex cinemas nationwide.

Starting from November 21, 2022, Cineplex will showcase a new LGBTQI+ film every third Monday of the month or bring back award-winning and beloved queer classics to the big screen. With the support of the LGBTQI+ television channel OUTtv Germany and film distributors CINEMIEN & PRO-FUN Media, the monthly Cineplex PRIDE NIGHT will showcase a visible queer community in film.

The first film to be shown at the PRIDE NIGHT on November 21, 2022, is the romantic drama “Mascarpone.” A film about 30-year-old Antonio, who is seemingly settled in life. When his long-term relationship falls apart, it’s as if the ground is pulled from under him. But his passion for baking also leads him to rediscover love.

During the PRIDE NIGHTs, a variety of fascinating queer films will premiere in Germany. From Israeli love story “TWO,” in which the two women Omer and Bar are deeply in love with each other and can’t wait to start a family, till the rugby film In From The Side: the Cineplex PRIDE NIGHTs will become the most diverse film evenings ever!
